merry CHRISTmas!

Calendar. Rubbershoes. Earphones. Slippers. Pens. A cd. A jacket and a shirt. 41 text greetings from friends. Some e-mail greetings. And a lot of offline messages in my YM. These are the gifts I have received (so far.. *wenkwenk*) this Christmas. Masaya na ba ko? Hindi e..

Spaghetti. Barbecue. (yeah. parang children's party.) Kare-kare. Crispy Pata. (huwaw.. cholesterol..) Salad. Brownies. Food prepared for the "noche buena".. bakit walang pampaskong pagkain? i dunno. hahaha.. Anyway.. Masaya na kaya ako sa mga pagkaing to? Guess what. Hindi pa rin.

Fine.. Baka sabihin nyo masyado na kong patalo.. Paskong pasko e.. Sure. Masaya naman talaga e.. with the family.. eating a lot of food.. the presents.. (yeah. the presents.) family reunions.. the Christmas specials in almost every channel.. the unknown people and their sudden interruption with the doorbell and their "angelic" singing.. and later, the unknown people and their sudden interruption with the doorbell and their "NAMAMASKO PO!!!!!!".. di ba? masaya naman eh kahit papano.. naubos nga yung mga barya naming nasstock sa mga cabinet.. hahaha..

But still, I think and I feel that almost everybody on this planet doesn't really realize that the true meaning of Christmas is in the very word itself. And no, it's not mas.. it's not ristma.. or whatever... Guess what.. It's Christ. The true essence of Christmas is the ultimate sacrifice, the King, Jesus.. who was born on Christmas day.. and no one really knows when this was, do we? ... and later, die on the cross, to be alive again on the third day to save us from eternal suffering.. Christmas is not about giving gifts.. it's not about the noche buena.. and it's definitely not about winning the Paskorus finals.. (sodium: it's okay..Paskorus lang yan.) And i wanna quote some words nung nangangareer ng blog dyan.. haha.. si Pito Magno. (hope you won't mind. :p).. hahaha..

Sometimes we get too caught up and preoccupied with the celebration itself that we tend to forget what it is we're celebrating.

Kanino bang birthday 'to? Hindi naman atin, di ba?

Jesus was born in a manger. Some historians think that the nativity scene didn't actually take place in a barn-like structure, but most probably in something more like a small cave. Imagine getting born (or even in Mary's PoV, giving birth) in a damp, smelly place surrounded by animals. Come on, I bet the animals didn't really stare at Jesus like most belens portray it; they probably did their usual animal stuff, walking around, snorting and drooling all over the place. Did Jesus complain? Of course not, he was only a few seconds old. But here's the clincher: before His birth Christ knew that he was going to be born for one purpose: to die. He was born to die for you. To take your place. Did He complain?

haha.. galing talaga.. nakakabless. yun lang muna.

merry CHRISTmas! yeah. God bless!
